So, I am going to try to keep this short for you. Alrighty, well, growing up I was good friends Rob's sister, Megan. She was my J.O. volleyball for a couple of years and after that, we always would stay in touch. She told me when I was like 13 that me and her brother were going to date one day because she could tell we were very compatible. Well in 2017, I was coming home for summer from college and she reached out to me about babysitting her newborn, Levi. I jumped on it because a) he was the cutest kid and b) the family was just awesome. I watched Levi all summer long until I moved back and met Rob a couple times then but he literally would not say a word, he would just sit there on his phone. Well, fast forward to December of that year, Megan reached out to me and asked if I would watch Levi on New Year's Eve night because they had a company party to go to. Of course, I said yes. When I got to their house, Megan was still getting ready and Rob and her husband, William, were making fun of her outfit. I really liked her outfit so it all started with me and Megan teaming against the guys at that moment. When they were leaving, I could literally feel Rob just staring at me but I avoided looking at him so that the awkward eye contact didn't happen.... I thought he was cute anyways. It had not been five minutes from the time they had left that I received a text from Megan saying "when are you going to let Rob take you out to dinner?" ... I knew it was coming! I was dating someone at the time so I just had to play it cool. Well, for the next couple of months we communicated through Megan. One night, they came to pickleball (a sport that my parents started playing and I just kinda fell into it), and as soon as Rob walked in, I turned to my best friend Lindsey and said "I am in trouble." We pretty much talked everyday from that night to this very day. We knew there was instant connection and although it took a few months to get to the point of actually trying it out, it was the best thing we both have ever done. What a love story, huh? |
